Brief bio :
Dr Christopher M. Joll is a New Zealand anthropologist who has been based in Thailand for 14 years, the first ten of which were in the Malay far south. He is the author of Muslim Merit-making in Thailand's Far-south (Springer in 2011). He continues to write on the ethno-linguistic diversity of Thailand's Muslim minority, while conducting a multi-sited study of sufism.
