Individual Project :

Anne Yvonnes Guillo's overall scientific interest is on post-genocide memory and resilience in rural Cambodia. She has been designing what she call an “anthropology of traces” – all kinds of traces of the genocide in landscapes, bodies, rituals and social life.

Her SEATIDE research focuses on the reconfiguration of a Cambodian village in Western Cambodia since the end of the Khmer Rouge regime (1979). She takes into account all kinds of migrations such as forced displacements, the flight of the Khmer Rouge villagers, new settlements, and more recently, temporary workers’ migrations to Phnom Penh, Thailand and beyond.
